Imaginging a Digital Economy For All: Leadership Series
A group of 113 digital economy policymakers and practitioners from around the world participated in the first cohort of our 'Imagining a Digital Economy for All: Leadership Series' (IDEALS) program, created in collaboration with Digital Frontiers and the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth.
Three participants—from the private sector in Kenya, from the Govt. of Bangladesh, and from the UNCDF in Tonga—share their perspectives and experiences.

2022 in AI, in Verse and Prose: Bhaskar Chakravorti  |  The Indian Express
In his column for The Indian Express, Bhaskar Chakravorti reflects on the biggest victories and failures of AI in 2022. Generative AI like DALL-E and ChatGPT, as well as AI tools like AlphaFold, which claimed to predict the structure of over 200 million proteins from more than 1 million species, revolutionizing our understanding of human diseases, took massive strides forward. On the other hand, AI tools designed to manage COVID surges around the world failed in practical clinical settings.

Bridging the U.S. Digital Divide - Fairly
In October 2022, Digital Planet filed ex-parte with the Federal Communications Commission, urging them to scrutinize not only the number of locations that are served but how many individuals are connected to broadband. On December 8th 2022, the Digital Planet team spoke at Next Century Cities' Broadband Data webinar, elaborating on our “people over miles” approach to bridge the digital divide in the US.

The Digital Economy and the New Social Contract
Ravi Shankar Chaturvedi discussed the tradeoff between innovation and inclusion and its implications for advanced digital economies with European Council policymakers and practitioners in attendance at an event hosted by IE University and the Centre for European Policy Studies in Brussels. Drawing from Digital Planet's recent research, he provided insights on how countries can foster inclusive innovation.
